Sarasota County has opened the new Parks, Recreation, and Natural Resources Administration Center at Twin Lakes Park. A ribbon cutting ceremony marked the completion of the project, located at 5883 Hummingbird Avenue and designed by Sweet Sparkman.

The center consists of two structures. The administration building provides 12,635 square feet of general office space for Parks, Recreation, and Natural Resources administrative staff. The adjacent multipurpose building provides 5,649 square feet and includes two large meeting rooms with supporting facilities, along with public restrooms that serve the nearby athletic facilities.

Officials cut a green ribbon beneath the entrance canopy at the grand opening of the Sarasota County Parks, Recreation, and Natural Resources Administration Center.

Six Parks, Recreation, and Natural Resources divisions now operate from the administration building. Locating these divisions together supports more consistent procedures and improves customer service for residents who visit Twin Lakes Park.

The design phase began in the summer of 2022. The finished center now anchors county operations within Twin Lakes Park, a site long established for recreation and public programs in Sarasota County.
