Lincoln Park Aquatic Center is 17.4 acres with a splash park, restrooms, and basketball courts. Sweet Sparkman Architecture & Interiors, as a consultant to Kimley-Horn, is responsible for designing the Manatee County Lincoln Park aquatic facility in Palmetto, FL. The aquatic facility includes a 25-yard competition pool (USA Swimming Certified), a zero-entry area, pool deck shade structures, concrete broom finished pool deck, lighting on the deck and underwater, lightning protection for the pool, perimeter fencing, signage, and one monumental slide. Pool support buildings include a central office, public restrooms, locker facilities, staff restrooms, an office for lifeguards and first aid, lightning protection, and a filtration/pump house. Site work included earthwork, paving, grading, drainage, utility, information technology distribution and extensions, permanent drives, sidewalks, parking, fencing, signage, landscaping, parking lot, and roadway improvements.
