RESIDENTIAL: Lido Shores, Florida
The project involved a major renovation to a 1950s home on Lido Shores. The owners envisioned a private, modern retreat that integrates architecture and landscape into a cohesive whole. Water is the primary landscape element that is used to blend interior and exterior spaces. By preserving the existing footprint of the original home, the design allows all the primary living spaces to be located on the ground floor, connecting the east and west courtyards through landscape rooms and interior gathering spaces.
The remodel of this house won the 2014 Florida Association of AIA: Merit Award of Excellence for Renovations and Additions.
