Born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, Joyce earned a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil and went on to complete a Master's in Interior Design at Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia.
Influenced by her master’s program, Joyce takes an Evidence-Based Design approach to her work, focusing on how the design of a space can positively impact and enhance the quality of daily life for people in places like schools and office environments. She is inspired by the modernist movement, its value on purity of materials, natural light, and the importance of functionality in design. By incorporating these elements and ideas, she creates spaces that have a meaningful impact on users.
Joyce currently lives in Sarasota, FL, having a love for coastal areas. In her space time, she enjoys painting, trying out new recipes, exploring new places, and spending time with family and friends.
